5 Signs That You Are Not On Your Skincare Game

Have you been feeling like lately the your skin is not at its best? Are you constantly scrolling through your timeline, of beautiful models and celebrities with glowy skin, and wondering what are they doing not you're not? Well my dear, hopefully after reading this blog you can identify what you may not be doing and add some of these tips in your skincare routine!

1. You're Probably Not Drinking Enough Water

Hydration is essential for our skin. Water helps to flush out toxins out of the body and unclog pores to prevent acne breakouts. Also consuming water aids in keeping the skin soft and supple; preventing premature wrinkling and under eye bags. I like to add fruits and herbs to spruse up my water and get a different flavor. Try incorprating 3-4 water bottles daily and watch your skin make great changes! Sidenote: you even might lose an inch a two without even trying!

2. Not Being Consistent With Your Routine

Most of us know what to do but are just not consistant when it comes to our skincare routine. I recommend keeping your regime simple so that it is easy to follow through on a daily basis.

  • Cleanse

  • Exfoliate

  • Apply Serums/Eye Cream

  • Moisturize

Make sure that you not only have a morning routine but a night one as well. The only way to see and keep results is to be consistant

3. Not Fully Massaging Product Into The Skin

Products perform at its best when you really work it into the skin. Massage helps to create good blood flow and circulation which can improve skin texture and tone. Take the extra few minutes and really work your products in. You will be surprised how plump your skin looks. Makes for feel like your getting a spa treatment right at home!

4. Holding On To Dead Skin

You can have all the best serums and moisturizers but for your products to work at its best you have to exfoliate! And not just the face but your whole body, especially if you are waxing or shaving. When dead skin cells are left it can make the skin appear and dry. Also exfoliating helps with preventing ingrowns because with the dead skin gone the hair is able to easily push through the skin. Some of my favorite products to use are

  • Dry Brushing

  • Natural Sugar Scrubs

  • Salicylic Acid Exfoliate

5. Not Having Regular Scheduled Facials

I always say... facials are great at restarting your skincare. One should get a facial at least every 4-6 weeks. Having a facial allows an expert to intensively look at your skin, safely clear out blackheads/clogged pores, and relieve stress. Click Here to view all of our spa treatments. Try out these steps and you will definitely be ON YOUR SKINCARE GAME!
